What is the CEREC machine for?
The CEREC machine uses the latest in technology to create a custom milled crown for you. Using an intraoral camera we will
take a 3-D picture of the tooth that needs a crown or a restoration. Using computer aided drafting technology we take the
3-D image and customize a restoration or crown for you. We then match the shade of your teeth to a ceramic block that is
placed in our milling machine which will take the 3-D picture and create the customized crown or restoration.
Why should you choose CEREC?
Most other dentists require at least two visits for dental restorations. Usually with your first visit to the dentist you
do the following:
- Receive an injection of anesthesia
- Your tooth is prepared
- An impression is taken
- A temporary restoration is put in place
The second visit includes:
- Another injection
- The temporary restoration is taken off
- The permanent restoration is put on
What is the difference?
With CEREC everything is done in one visit. The difference is:
